Individual Counselling

Support for people who are carrying a great deal and trying to navigate life with greater honesty, connection to themselves, and connection with others.

Many of the people I work with have been holding and carrying a lot. Over time, this can create a deep disconnection from their own needs, limits, desires, creativity, and sense of aliveness.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stretched thin, disconnected from yourself, uncertain about what comes next, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You may be navigating burnout, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, caregiving responsibilities, workplace stress, identity questions, or emotional patterns that no longer fit your life.

At times, the struggle is also about the deeper uncertainties of being human — questions of meaning, belonging, identity, purpose, loss, and how to live in a world that can at times feel overwhelming or painful.

You may be:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or emotionally stretched thin

  • Struggling with anxiety, self-worth, boundaries, or disconnection from yourself

  • Carrying the impact of workplace stress, caregiving, or relational strain

  • Feeling stuck in patterns that once helped you survive, but no longer support your life

  • Navigating a major life transition, loss, or change in identity

  • Trying to make sense of difficult relationships or family dynamics

  • Navigating questions related to culture, spirituality, identity, belonging, or meaning

  • Living with experiences connected to marginalization, exclusion, or systemic harm

  • Looking for a space where you do not need to hold everything together alone

Counselling offers a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore what may be happening beneath the surface, with honesty, curiosity, compassion, and care.

Together, we may:

  • Explore emotional and relational patterns with curiosity and compassion

  • Better understand the impact of past experiences, relationships, systems, and culture on your present life

  • Develop greater clarity, capacity, and self-understanding

  • Strengthen boundaries and connection to your own needs and values

  • Move through periods of uncertainty, grief, burnout, or change with support

  • Reconnect with meaning, creativity, humour, spirituality, and the parts of yourself that may feel unseen or neglected

I recognize that our lives are shaped not only by personal experiences, but also by culture, family histories, systems, social conditions, and the broader world around us. My approach to counselling is grounded in curiosity and respect for the complexity of people’s lived experiences and identities.

I believe therapy can make space for the full complexity of being human — including contradiction, uncertainty, humour, anger, grief, hope, and resilience. This is a space where all parts of you are welcome.

Counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and involve exploratory conversations about the issues you would like to work on. At times counselling can be brief and help you make the desired change you wish to see in a short timeframe. Counselling can also be a doorway to explore diverse and deeper issues, which requires more time. The frequency and number of sessions are up to you.

My counselling practice is influenced by several therapies and approaches: Internal Family Systems, Narrative, Psychodynamic, Relational, Spiritual care, Art therapy and Anti-oppression.
